Family Constellations
Family constellations is an embodied therapeutic approach that works to reveal ancestral patterns that continue to repeat through the generations and explore ways to break the cycle.
This approach was originated by Bert Hellinger but is strongly influenced by the time that Hellinger spent with the Zulu people.
In a group family constellation, members of the group will stand as “representatives” for the person who is doing the enquiry.
The representatives will bring insights from their experience of standing in the “field of knowledge” that may otherwise be difficult to access.
The intention of the constellation could be to release from entanglements that no longer serve us.
Paula was trained by Tanja Meyburg of African Constellations.

Drama and Expressive Arts Therapy
Dramatherapy is the intentional and systematic use of drama/theatre processes to achieve psychological growth and change” (Acting for Real, Renee Emunah).
Paula received her MA in dramatherapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2000.
During her 20 years of practice she has worked with a range of communities and client populations from addictions and eating disorders to community development and training.
She incorporates writing, art making and movement in her practice of therapy. Leading her to use the term “expressive arts therapy” because of including a range of arts in her toolbox.
Drama and expressive arts therapy is embodied, supporting the connection between the mind and body to allow for healing beyond words. We build on strengths and resources instead of focusing only on the problem.
