About Paula Kingwill: Healing Through Drama and Farming

Paula Kingwill is a remarkable individual who embodies the synergy between nature’s serenity and the transformative power of drama therapy. As a dramatherapist and cattle farmer, Paula has dedicated her life to fostering healing and connection, both within herself and the community around her.

A Life’s Calling

With a Master’s degree in Dramatherapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies, USA, Paula has honed her craft over decades of practice. Her journey began in Cape Town, South Africa, where she worked with diverse client populations, leveraging the arts for healing and personal growth.

Bridging Worlds

Paula’s expertise extends beyond the therapy room; she is also deeply rooted in the land, carrying on her family’s farming legacy in the Karoo. Returning to The Rest farm with her husband Iain in 2010, Paula seamlessly blends her roles as a farmer and a facilitator, creating a harmonious balance between nature and human experience.

Facilitating Growth

At The Rest, Paula facilitates Expressive Arts therapy and Family Constellations workshops, offering individuals and groups a space for profound self-exploration and healing. Whether she’s tending to the farm or guiding therapeutic sessions, Paula’s presence is characterized by warmth, compassion, and a deep connection to the earth.

A Visionary and a Farmer

Paula’s vision for The Rest extends beyond therapeutic interventions; it’s a vision of community, sustainability, and holistic well-being. As she tends to the land and nurtures her clients’ growth, Paula embodies the essence of resilience, creativity, and profound interconnectedness.
